Church History
Scott Baptist Church has served as a spiritual cornerstone of the Scott and Adrian communities since the late 1800s. Originally established during the rise of the town of Scott, Georgia—where a post office opened in 1897 and the town was incorporated in 1904—the church quickly became a central gathering place for worship, fellowship, and service.
Though the town’s charter was repealed in 1995 and much of old Scott faded into history, Scott Baptist Church remained a constant. Over the decades, the church has stood through changes in the region, continuing its mission to preach the gospel, strengthen families, and serve the surrounding rural community with grace and humility.
Today, Scott Baptist Church continues to uphold its Christ-centered roots— faithfully proclaiming the Word, nurturing believers, and opening its doors to anyone seeking truth, healing, or hope.
“Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever.”
